Heartfelt at Christmas with Moonpig

Here at the Moonpig office, the anticipation for mulled wine, wintery carols and dodgy charades got a little too much for us all. Christmas is on the horizon – but why should we wait until December 25th? To get the Christmas vibes flowing in the most Moonpig way possible, we invited some of our favourite bloggers down to our Moonpig HQ for an evening creating everything they need to throw the perfect Christmas party.

Throughout, we used Moonpig products to show how we are the only place you need to tick off every aspect of an incredible Christmas!

The stage was set for the arrival of our guests. Complete with Christmas trees, a snowy backdrop, and our very own Santa, the guests were greeted with what is surely the best possible start to any Christmas event – a cocktail. Alongside their passion fruit martinis, guests were treated to food, laid out by Bread and Honey Catering. With everyone settled in, we sat down for a presentation with our CEO Nickyl Raithatha who talked us all through Moonpig’s Christmas message. Summarised in our hashtag, #Heartfeltwithmoonpig,

Nickyl discussed how with Moonpig it’s never been more convenient to make someone feel special. Combining our mobile apps and personalised cards, gifts & flowers with Moonpig heartfelt can happen anywhere.

Once the presentation was done, the bloggers were split into three groups to begin the night's festivities.

Group one headed off to Roxanne, Moonpig’s very own flower expert. Presented with an array of flowers, our guests were treated to a step-by-step guide to creating a floral centrepiece fit for stealing the show this Christmas. Using red and white roses, the guests were taught how to trim, arrange and prepare their flowers to create the most striking centrepiece. Complete with a beautiful vase, the centrepieces were fit for the most festive of Christmas tables.

As if cocktails on entry weren’t enough, for our second group that was just the beginning. They underwent a 40-minute cocktail masterclass, courtesy of a mixologist from our friends at Mix and Friends. Using a variety of exciting spirits, all of which are available on the Moonpig website, our guests put the merry into Merry Christmas by creating some truly tasty cocktails.

With a few new recipes in hand, our guests are sure to be hit with the cocktail shaker at Christmas parties this December.

Our final group got straight to the heart of what Christmas at Moonpig is all about. By creating their own customised card, complete with a Christmassy photo, they crafted a personalised message that anyone would be truly excited to open. With personal giving, cards can be enduring, story-building, and uplifting.

With the help of UK Photo Booth, our guests were able to do exactly that. After donning a fashionable Christmas hat, bloggers were joined by Santa in front of the green screen to create their very own festive photo. Once they were happy with their winter woodland or snowy mountain backdrop, they headed to a computer to complete their personalised greeting card.

To make sure no one missed out on any of our exciting activities, the groups rotated around each table.

Throughout the evening, there was ample opportunity for everyone to enjoy prosecco, food, and a growing sense of that special Christmas spirit. Throughout, Santa sat jollily in his grotto, popping up for the odd photo and sip of prosecco (after the bottle of sherry went suspiciously missing).

When Moonpig does Christmas, no one leaves empty-handed. Santa had done what Santa does best and come armed with gifts for all our guests. In each of the takeaway presents was everything you need to inject some Christmas spirit into every home. Included was a prosecco fizz cocktail kit plus a Christmas spice candle, providing a take-home taste and smell of Christmas.

For us and everyone in attendance, our evening of Christmassy crafting fun has really kickstarted the festive period. We were delighted to be sharing our Christmas messaging with every blogger in attendance. Encapsulated in the #Heartfeltwithmoonpig hashtag, our mission this Christmas is to provide convenience to those who want to make someone feel special over the festive period.
